Benghazi – Benghazi University President, Dr. Ezzedine Al-Darsi, received the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires to Libya, Jeremy Berndt, and his delegation on Thursday. Members of the university’s board and its International Cooperation Department were also present.
The university’s media office stated the visit aims to enhance academic cooperation. It also focuses on cultural exchange programs with American institutions.
The meeting included a review of the university’s future plans. They also discussed students’ distinguished participation in international forums.
The university president and Mr. Berndt agreed to launch new joint programs. These will focus on medical education and petroleum engineering. The programs will serve the university’s vision for international outreach and building academic partnerships.
At the visit’s conclusion, Mr. Berndt and his delegation praised the university board’s efforts. They commended the board for raising academic standards and its expertise in managing international programs.
