Moscow – Russia’s Defense Ministry announced Saturday that air defense systems shot down 389 Ukrainian drones over several regions of Russia overnight. According to the ministry’s statement, the drones were intercepted over multiple Russian territories, as well as in the Moscow region, Crimea, the Sea of Azov, and the Black Sea.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities reported that two people were killed and 39 others injured following more than 1,100 Russian attacks targeting 43 locations in the Zaporizhzhia region during the past 24 hours.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, said the region and surrounding areas were subjected to a series of air raids, drone strikes, artillery shelling, and Russian missile attacks. He added that the strikes targeted residential areas and civilian infrastructure, causing extensive damage to homes, vehicles, and facilities. Assessment of the scale of destruction in affected areas is ongoing.
