The Head of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Qaderbouh, issued a decision today. He ordered the precautionary suspension of the Director of Tiji General Hospital. The financial controller and the head of the hospital’s pharmacy department were also suspended.
This action is due to administrative and financial violations. A statement from the Authority clarified the decision. The suspension followed a committee’s findings. This committee was tasked with monitoring the hospital’s conditions. It confirmed the existence of several violations.
These included mismanagement of public procurement committees. There was also a failure to safeguard and maintain public funds. Additionally, the committee noted an abuse of official authority.
