UN Adviser, PC President review latest developments in Libya

Monday, February 14, 2022 National 1 Min Read

UN Adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams, said Monday she reviewed the latest developments in Libya with the President of the Presidency Council, Mohamed al-Menfi, and his deputy, Abdullah al-Lafi.

“I was received today by President of the Presidency Council Mr. Mohamed Al-Menfi and PC member Mr. Abdullah AlLafi to review the latest developments in Libya. We took note of the spirit of consensus exhibited by the HoR & HCS and emphasized the importance of maintaining calm,” Williams tweeted.

“We reviewed in detail the PC’s efforts to activate the national reconciliation file, in particular, the formation of specific committees and the redraft of the necessary legislation to be presented to the HoR. I offered continued UN support for this vital national project,” she added.
