Stephanie Williams, the United Nations Advisor on Libya, met on Saturday with Dr. Belqassem Gzheit and Dr. Abdallah Jwain, both of whom are members of the High Council of State, to discuss the current political situation in Libya.
“I emphasized the need for the various Libyan political forces to pursue the broadest possible consensus, through an inclusive and transparent process,” Williams said in a tweet on Sunday.
“I also renewed my call for all actors to maintain the focus on the electoral process as per the demand of the Libyan people and to preserve the current calm on the ground.”
