U.S. Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, said he agreed in a meeting today with High State Council (HSC) President Khaled al-Mishiri in Cairo, on the need to support the UN-led process intended to lead to parliamentary and presidential elections as soon as possible as demanded by Libyan voters.
“I encourage all participants in the upcoming Cairo meeting between the HoR and HSC, to work on behalf of the Libyan people and reach the necessary consensus for establishing the constitutional basis for elections,” U.S. Embassy in Libya quoted Norland.
