U.S. Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, said on Tuesday that Washington had urges calm and de-escalation in Libya in contacts with the outgoing Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, and the new Prime Minister, Fathi Bashagha.
“The U.S. continues to urge calm and de-escalation in contacts with all sides,” US Embassy in Libya quoted Norland.
“That was my message to Abdulhamid Dabaiba at the meeting he hosted with foreign diplomats this morning, and my colleagues in Washington had a similar conversation with Fathi Bashagha this afternoon,” he pointed out.
