The U.N. Envoy to Libya, Stephanie Williams, met on Monday with a number of senior government officials, including the Chairman of the Presidential Council Mohamed al-Menfi and Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush, to brief them on her “mission’s objectives in Libya as mandated by the UN Secretary-General”.
According to the U.N. Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Williams was accompanied by Mission Coordinator Raisedon Zenenga.
During her talks with Libyan officials, she expressed “full readiness to assist Libyans in their quest for unity and an end to the transitional period through the holding of free, fair and credible elections”.
