The Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar branch of the Directorate for Combating Illegal Migration carried out a new deportation operation involving 47 illegal migrants of various African nationalities.
The operation included the deportation of 33 migrants from the Al-Bayda office, among them 4 women, two children, and a number of cases with infectious diseases, in addition to the deportation of 14 other migrants from the Shahhat office. All were transferred to the Greater Benghazi shelter center.
The Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar branch is considered one of the most sensitive branches due to its vast geographical area and diverse terrain, which includes desert roads, mountain passes, and coastal areas, requiring continuous, round-the-clock security efforts to combat illegal migration flows.
The Directorate affirmed that its branch continues to perform its duties with efficiency and discipline through its field offices, to preserve national and social security and to counter the phenomenon of illegal migration within the region.
