719 new people test positive for Coronavirus, 16 others dead in Libya

2892 people test positive for Coronavirus, 31 others dead in Libya

719 new people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 14 percent of the infection rate, according to a Monday report by the National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC). The center also said that 16 people died of the virus, while 1,444 have recovered during the same reporting period.

NDCD reported that 181 people are in “critical condition”.

The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 342,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 263,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.

The virus has claimed the lives of 4,702 people. Over million people received one dose of the vaccination, while more than 244,000 others were vaccinated with two doses.
