A joint chamber of the Agricultural Police conducted an inspection tour in the areas of the Eastern Coast, Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar, Shahhat, Al-Qubbah, Derna, Tobruk, and Bi’r al-Ashhab to monitor encroachments on forests, wild plants, and pastoral shrubs.
During the tour, a quantity of cut and charred trees, which were being prepared for smuggling or illegal use, was seized. The confiscated items were handed over to the competent center to complete legal procedures against the violators.
These campaigns are part of the Agricultural Police’s efforts to preserve vegetation cover and wildlife, ensure the ecological balance in the region, and protect forests from illegal encroachments.
