The Public Prosecution refers (6) employees in the Ka'am Civil Registry Office to court for judgment on charges of forging three family papers

Tripoli – The Ka’am Public Prosecution referred six employees to trial. They work at the Ka’am Civil Registry Office. They are suspected of involvement in forging three family certificates. These certificates enabled three individuals to obtain national identification numbers.

The Public Prosecutor’s office issued a statement. A committee investigated civil status data forgery incidents. This occurred under the Al-Khums Public Attorney’s office. The committee reviewed evidence of the forged family certificates. Three individuals used these certificates to get national ID numbers. They then used these IDs to obtain 5,700 US dollars. This foreign currency was allocated for Libyans. They also acquired 14,600 dinars from grants designated for Libyan families.

The statement confirmed the investigation findings. These findings determined the employees’ culpability. The Public Prosecution recovered the crime proceeds. It also strengthened the evidence for the court case.
