Sadiq al-Ghariani, the mufti of the General National Congress who was dismissed by parliament, stated during the “Islam and Life” program on his Tanasuh channel, as monitored by Al-Marsad newspaper, that the far-right in the world represents a religious, not a worldly, enmity. He said it represents the ideology of “infidelity among Christians, Zionists, and some of those who rule America and the West,” claiming that this movement considers the annihilation of Muslims a way of getting closer to God.
Al-Ghariani, who is on the terrorism lists of Gulf countries and Egypt, called for the revival of the concept of “Jihad” in the minds of generations, criticizing leaders and rulers whom he described as living “secular lives separate from faith and jihad,” according to him.
On the domestic front, Al-Ghariani addressed the crisis in cancer patient treatment, revealing the suspension of two vital projects at the Zawiya Street Hospital related to nuclear scans and radiation therapy. This was due to the non-payment of dues to the implementing company for more than a year and a half, despite it providing the service for free for two years.
Al-Ghariani held the head of the Oncology Authority, the Prime Minister, and the Attorney General responsible for obstructing the project, accusing them of serving “brokers and bribes” by referring patients for treatment abroad. He said: “I complain about these people to God, for God is Mighty, the Lord of Retribution, and everyone who obstructs the treatment of patients will be afflicted by what they have plotted.”
Al-Ghariani concluded by saying that the project owner or the company, which he did not name, did not have its rights protected even by an official contract and did not receive its dues. He called on the Attorney General to open a serious investigation with the officials and hold them fully responsible for the suspension of the service that affects the lives of thousands of patients.
