Al-Ghweel: 6+6 and Advisory Committees are Two National Pillars for Saving Libya
Libya – Former Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Salama Al-Ghweel, said that the 6+6 and Advisory committees represent today the most important national pillars that can be built upon politically and legally to save the nation.
Al-Ghweel explained, in a post on his Facebook page, that the 6+6 committee has demonstrated its openness across all Libyan territory and its endeavor to establish balanced legal solutions that guarantee a fair electoral path. Meanwhile, the Advisory Committee was distinguished by its intellectual and national diversity and its ability to present practical, unifying proposals.
He added that what distinguishes these two committees is that they are purely national, free from any external influence, which has given the national role its true weight and restored the standing of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State. He considered the work of the two committees to have become a balancing factor among the various parties, capable of creating the required parity and balance at this critical juncture.
Al-Ghweel stressed that the support of all national forces for the committees’ work, and allowing them sufficient space to translate their ideas into action, is the way to ensure the United Nations adheres to the specified two-month timeframe and to open the path for Libya towards political stability and inclusive elections that express the will of the people.
