Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour announced the civil registry system is now secure. He confirmed that investigations into suspected forged entries are being followed up.
In a statement to the Libya Al-Ahrar channel, which broadcasts from Turkey with Qatari funding, Al-Sour elaborated. He stated the civil registry’s data has been completely purified. The system is now secure. It is invulnerable to corruption or hacking.
He added that integrating the revised data will aid the electoral process. It will also help preserve public funds. Al-Sour noted this work will continue for years.
He revealed that forgery was discovered in foundational family records. Al-Sour confirmed these developments will be presented to legislative and executive authorities to find suitable solutions.
