Washington – On the sidelines of his visit to the United States of America, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Issa, met with a number of representatives from prominent American companies.
The meeting, hosted by the U.S.-Libya Business Association (USLBA) in the capital, Washington, included a discussion of opportunities for economic and technical cooperation, and a review of the business and investment environment in Libya that affects the performance of foreign and American companies operating in Libya.
During the meeting, the Governor reviewed the initiatives of the Central Bank of Libya’s management to reform the general economic situation of the Libyan state, and the Bank’s role in encouraging banking institutions in Libya to move towards digital transformation and enhance the principles of transparency.
For their part, the representatives of the American companies praised the efforts of the Central Bank of Libya’s management to enhance financial and economic stability in Libya amidst the current challenges.
