Benghazi – The giant ship “CMA CGM HYVAN” berthed at the Juliyana Free Zone port. This move reflects the growing maritime activity at the port. It also enhances its readiness to receive large container ships.
The docking process followed precise maritime pilotage. The specialized team successfully guided the ship to the pier. They completed the mooring process with full safety.
Samir Al-Nabal, head of the Marine Services Department, spoke about the operation. He stated that the maritime pilotage team showed high efficiency. Sailor and pilot Yousef Al-Bijwa led the team. They guided and secured the ship with professionalism.
Workers began unloading containers from the ship after it docked. They used modern Liebherr cranes for the task. This aims to accelerate the pace of work. It also improves the efficiency of operational processes within the port.
This event confirms that the Juliyana Free Zone port possesses necessary capabilities. It can serve as a major regional maritime destination for global trade. This strengthens Libya’s role as a vital corridor for shipping in the Mediterranean basin.
