Benghazi – Chadian Ambassador to Libya Taher Isso Youssef announced the imminent opening of the Chadian Consulate in Benghazi. He made this announcement during a meeting on Tuesday. The meeting was with Abdullah Al-Masri Al-Fadhil. Al-Fadhil is the Head of the House of Representatives Diwan. The meeting took place at the Diwan’s headquarters in Benghazi.
The Ambassador clarified this plan. The Benghazi consulate opening will be followed by two additional consulates. These will be located in Sebha and Kufra. This initiative is coordinated with the Libyan government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its purpose is to provide consular services. These services target Chadian citizens residing in Libya.
The Chadian Ambassador to Libya affirmed this. The move aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Libya and Chad. It also seeks to develop joint cooperation. He highlighted the historical, social, and cultural ties that bind the two countries.
