Benghazi – The Anti-Illegal Migration Agency on Monday deported 174 Bangladeshi migrants, including three women and a child, through Benina International Airport. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to regulate the status of migrants and curb irregular migration.
The agency said the deportation was carried out by its Greater Benghazi branch under orders from its chief, Major General Salah Al-Khafaifi. The head of the detention center and its branch staff supervised the process.
The agency explained that the deportation took place in coordination with the International Organization for Migration, after completing the necessary legal and administrative measures. Authorities at the airport’s anti-migration office monitored the departure.
Officials added that this move is part of a broader plan to address irregular migration and enhance security and stability, in coordination with relevant local and international bodies and in accordance with existing laws.
