The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa, arrived at Al-Wigh military base as part of a field tour that included the southern border regions.
The visit aims to follow up on the readiness of the military units deployed in the region and their role in securing the borders and combating cross-border gangs.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief held meetings with officers and military personnel to review the progress of missions. He also met with the residents of the area and listened to their demands and needs.
He emphasized the General Command’s commitment to monitoring the conditions of citizens in the south, and working to enhance stability and improve services and living conditions in the border areas.
