Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio met the Secretary General Antonio Guterres today at the U.N. headquarters in New York.
The two discussed the crisis in Ukraine as well as Libya and food security, according to multiple press reports.
D Maio reportedly offered Guterres Italy’s full support for its good offices in Ukraine to obtain the cessation of hostilities, the transit of humanitarian assistance and the export of foodstuffs blocked after the Russian invasion.
