EU approves amendment to impose sanctions on individuals obstructing Libya elections

BRUSSELS – The European Council approved on Monday an amendment to its sanctions regime on Libya, which allows for imposing sanctions on those obstructing the country’s elections scheduled for December 24, the Italian news agency Aki reports.
