Tripoli – The General Electricity Company has announced that the first unit of the Misrata Dual-Cycle Power Plant has entered service and been connected to the public grid, following the completion of periodic maintenance. This aims to increase production capacity, enhance grid stability, and meet the growing demand for electrical energy.
In a related context, concrete pouring continues for the roofs of chambers 17 and 18 on Al-Shatt Espan Road, as part of a project to complete the connection of the Bir Al-Osta Milad station to the proposed Espan station, extending to the Shatt Al-Henshir station via 220 kV underground cables. This is intended to support the grid and enhance its stability in the towns of Souq Al-Jumaa and Tajoura.
This work is being carried out by the Electrical Construction Company under the supervision and follow-up of the General Administration for Transmission Projects, as part of the company’s plans to strengthen the country’s electrical infrastructure and ensure the continued stable provision of service to citizens.
