EU Warns of Forged Document Falsely Attributing Its Official Capacity

Brussels – The European Union has warned about a forged document circulating online that falsely claims to be an official directive from the EU. Officials stressed that the document is fabricated and does not represent any EU institution.

The European Union stated that this misinformation is intended to mislead the public and undermine trust in its institutions. The EU urged people to verify the authenticity of any documents that appear official through proper channels before sharing them.

The EU emphasized that reducing the spread of misinformation starts with fact-checking before reposting any content. The Union also highlighted the importance of relying on official sources for accurate and reliable information.
