First Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, met with the sheikhs, notables, and youth of the Brak Al-Shati tribes, who expressed their appreciation for the Armed Forces, affirming their full support for its national efforts aimed at enhancing security and achieving development in the South.
Launching the Comprehensive National Initiative “Together for the South”
According to his media office, First Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar explained that he was tasked by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu Al-Qasim Haftar, to launch the comprehensive national initiative under the slogan “Together for the South.” This initiative embodies the General Command’s interest and sincere commitment to ensuring the South attains the status it deserves after years of marginalization, suffering, and exclusion.
A Comprehensive Development Vision for the Southern Region
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief affirmed that the initiative represents a new era of work and reconstruction aimed at alleviating the suffering of the people of the South and driving the engine of development in various fields, from roads and infrastructure to agriculture, services, and job creation, to make the region a destination for investment and production, as part of an integrated plan to achieve sustainable development and stability in southern Libya.
