Sunday, November 6, 2022 Uncategorized 1 Min Read
HNEC Chair: Some presidential candidates forged their academic qualifications

The head of the High National Elections Commission, Imad al-Sayeh, has called for “the need to reach a fair and inclusive electoral law that includes a clear delineation of electoral districts and a fair distribution of seats.” He considered that such law “will enjoy the consensus of all parties, as well as all those involved in the political process.”

During a simulation of the elections event on Saturday, the HNEC chief added thst the law “is responsible for creating security in terms of and defining the powers of all parties in order to get the country out of the current political impasse.”

The event was in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Interim National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, and the UN envoy, Abdoulaye Bathily.
