Tripoli – The National Oil Corporation announced a significant increase in gasoline and diesel reserves. These reserves are at the Benghazi and Misrata depots. This comes as part of monitoring the general fuel supply situation in the country.
According to data released on Saturday, the Benghazi depot topped the list of reserves. It holds over 38,000 tons of gasoline and about 31,000 tons of diesel. Misrata came in second with high levels. Its reserves exceeded 31,000 tons of gasoline and 19,000 tons of diesel. This reflects relative stability in fuel supplies to these two regions.
In contrast, the figures showed a variation in gas quantities at some depots. This was especially true in Al-Zawiya and Tobruk. Levels there remain lower compared to other cities.
Regarding supply, Libyan ports are experiencing active movement of tankers. Unloading operations for gasoline and diesel shipments are ongoing. New tankers have arrived. Others are preparing to finish unloading. This strengthens the pace of fuel supply to the local market.
These movements are expected to support supply stability in the coming period. They should also reduce any potential bottlenecks in fuel distribution.
