Derna – Patrols from the Derna branch of the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency began. They started intensive inspection tours on Sunday. These tours covered Derna city. This action followed instructions from the agency head, Major General Salah Mahmoud Al-Khafifiy. It also followed directives from branch director, Brigadier General Abdel Salam Boukar.
The agency’s media office issued a statement. It confirmed the campaign’s objectives. The campaign aims to control illegal migration. It also seeks to combat this phenomenon. Furthermore, it monitors all foreign violators within the city. Patrols began operations by setting up checkpoints. These checkpoints were in the city center. They later expanded to include the eastern coastal area.
The campaign apprehended several violators. These individuals resided without completing legal procedures. Applicable legal measures were taken against them. The office noted that several foreigners were detained. They were transferred to the agency’s headquarters. Legal procedures will be initiated there. This action prepares for their deportation. Deportation will follow applicable regulations.
