IOM: 361 migrants intercepted and returned to Libya in a week

IOM condemns excessive use of power against migrants in Tripoli

International Organization for Migration (IOM) said 361 migrants were intercepted and returned to Libya from 6 to 12 August 2023.

So far in 2023, the number of 9,756 migrants have been intercepted and returned to Libya, according to IOM.

It added that 825 died, while 1023 went missing on the Central Mediterranean Route from 1 Jan to 12 Aug, 2023.
