Tripoli – The General Electricity Company has announced the restart of the third gas unit at the Sarir power station following the completion of comprehensive renovations and the upgrading of control and electrical systems for all the station’s units.
The company explained that its technical teams successfully carried out a major overhaul of the unit, which was gradually connected to the grid with a capacity of 102 megawatts during the testing phase, and is expected to reach its full production capacity of 300 megawatts soon.
This achievement is part of the company’s plan to enhance the efficiency of its production units and stabilize the electrical grid, through the implementation of periodic maintenance to ensure continuous operation at the highest levels of performance and quality.
