The International Center for Advanced Agronomic Studies of the Mediterranean in Bari (Ciheam Bari) and the Italian Embassy in Libya delivered on Sunday agricultural machinery intended for the municipality of Sabha, the capital of southern Fezzan, for the launch of services for cereal producers in the area.
According to the Italian embassy, the machinery are a self-propelled combine harvester with a 6.3 meter cereal cutting platform and relative trolley for transporting the cutting bar were donated; two open field tractors with 125 kW/169 HP power; a 130-160 hp chisel disc mounted cultivator; two combined cultivators; two in-line seeders for cereals and two mounted sprayers with mechanical weeding bar.
The donation took place as part of the Improving Agricultural Employment in Fezzan (EFEF) project financed by the General Directorate for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
