Vise-President of the Libyan Presidential Council (PC), Abdulla al-Lafi, described his meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Aguila Saleh, on Saturday as positive.
Al-Lafi said he discussed with Saleh ways to support the political process and advance the electoral process.
“We affirmed the Presidential Council’s commitment to supporting the holding of elections, through a clear roadmap, according to solid legal and constitutional foundations,” he added.
“We discussed the issue of national reconciliation, which PC’s administration is working to make a success,” al-Lafi pointed out.
Al-Lafi quoted Saleh as confirming support for the efforts of the Presidential Council by issuing laws that would help in the success of the reconciliation project.
“It was agreed on continuous consultation and communication in this regard,” he concluded.
