Tripoli – The Law Enforcement Department began operations today, Wednesday. This department is part of the General Directorate of Security Operations. They started evacuating illegal encroachments and structures. These actions targeted the Qasr Akhyar agricultural project. The project is located east of the capital, Tripoli.
The removal operation followed a 72-hour deadline. The Law Enforcement Department had issued this ultimatum. It was given to those illegally exploiting the project’s land.
The department stated these actions were taken. They comply with instructions from the Al-Khums Public Prosecution. The operation involved several partners. These included the Agriculture and Livestock Sector Coordinator in Qasr Akhyar. The Agricultural Police Agency also cooperated. Project management was another partner.
The department added that farms would be returned to beneficiaries. This will happen after the evacuation and removal conclude. The returns will follow existing contracts. A detailed report on the incident will be submitted. It will go to the Al-Khums Public Prosecution. This is for necessary legal action.
