Libya’s representative to the United Nations, Taher Al-Sunni, met Wednesday in New York with his Algerian counterpart, Mohamed Arbaoui, Algeria’s new representative to the United Nations.
Al-Sunni said in a tweet that he discussed with the representative of Algeria the latest developments and the current political situation, in addition to mechanisms of coordination and joint action on issues of concern to the two neighboring countries.
Algeria seeks to be a regional figure in resolving the Libyan crisis, while the previous stages witnessed differences in the Algerian position between the parties to the Libyan conflict, especially with the political changes that Algeria witnessed with the rise of Abdel Majid Tebboune as president of the country.
