Libya had developed a strategy of cooperation with Europe in 2022, said Interior Minister Khaled Mazen on Monday.
Mazen made the remarks during a meeting with the European Union (EU) Ambassador to Libya Jose Sabadell.
The meeting, which was attended by senior officials from EU Delegation to Libya and the Libyan Interior Ministry, is part of a series of meetings the minister was holding to resolve some urgent issues, mainly illegal migration, according to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry.
“The minister confirmed the development of a joint cooperation strategy with the European Union for 2022, including security cooperation and issues supported by the European Union based on agreements signed between the two sides,” the statement said.
