The Libyan National Army (LNA) clashed on Monday with an armed group in the south of Kufra, which lead to the killing of a member of this group, announced LNA’s media official.
In a press statement, Major General Khaled al-Mahjoub described the armed group as a “cross-border gang” and said that 3 vehicles owned by the group were destroyed in the operation.
LNA had closed the border crossing with Sudan and Chad until further notice. It also called on drivers traveling in Libya’s border region to cooperate with LNA forces for safety.
