Benghazi – Major General Essam Abu Zuriba inaugurated a new building. He is the Minister of Interior. This building houses the Traffic and Licensing Department. It belongs to the Greater Benghazi Security Directorate. The inauguration occurred on Monday. It followed extensive maintenance and renovation.
Many officials attended the opening. Salem Al-Darsi, Minister of Communications, was present. Lieutenant General Osama Al-Darsi also attended. He is Head of the Internal Security Apparatus. Major General Salah Huwaidi was there. He is Director of Greater Benghazi Security. Badr Al-Nuhaib, an MP, also attended. Security leaders and specialists were present.
The Minister toured the new facility. He inspected the building’s equipment. Offices and modern work mechanisms were reviewed. Digital transformation efforts were highlighted. Banking services have been activated. This aims to simplify citizen procedures.
This opening is part of a 2026 plan. It is from the Ministry of Interior. The plan develops security service infrastructure. It also boosts security and technical efficiency. The Ministry’s Projects Office supervised this. It followed directives from the Commander-in-Chief. His Deputy also provided guidance.
