Tripoli – Thursday, the Ministry of Youth of the Government of National Unity held a consultative meeting. It was with youth file officials from UNICEF and the Pioneers of Development Organization (ODP). Directors from the Youth Empowerment, Youth Institutions, Youth Activities and Initiatives, International Cooperation, and Media departments attended. This reflects the Ministry of Youth’s commitment to strengthening partnerships. These partnerships are with international and local organizations supporting the youth sector.
During the meeting, attendees discussed cooperation methods. They focused on several vital issues concerning Libyan youth. A key discussion point was the “A Drop Counts” project. This project aims to raise community awareness. It promotes rational water use. Water is considered a fundamental resource for life and sustainable development. This was reported by the Ministry of Youth of the Government of National Unity.
They also agreed to establish practical cooperation mechanisms. This will be done through local youth councils and the Ministry’s departments. This ensures outreach to targeted municipalities. It also enhances youth participation in community behavioral change campaigns.
Attendees affirmed these partnerships. They align with the Ministry of Youth’s vision. This vision aims to empower Libyan youth. It enables them to play an active role in addressing societal challenges. The partnerships also contribute to building a conscious and responsible society. This society will be capable of leading sustainable development initiatives.
