Passing Presidential Election Law by the House of Representatives (HoR) is a positive step to get out of the current situation in the country, and its aim is to reach stability, said HoR Member, Aisha al-Tubelki.
HoR’s approval of the Law was implicit, because the Speaker, during the session devoted to discussing the Law, emphasized that all the members’ observations were included when referring it to the Legislative Committee for drafting it, al-Tubelki confirmed.
The Law was widely welcomed by the majority of parties, and according to the political agreement, the issuance of laws is the original competence of HoR, she added.
The objection of the High State Council to not being involved in issuing the Law was a mistake, the HoR Member pointed out.
