Member of the House of Representatives, Abd al-Salam Nassia, congratulated the national football team on its victory in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
In a post on his Facebook page, Nassia said: “This victory is not just a sporting win, but a profound message that sports transcend all disputes and unite the youth under the banner of brotherhood, cooperation, altruism, and the spirit of sacrifice.”
He viewed the great victory as coming at the right time, to give the nation’s people a boost of hope and instill in them the confidence in their ability to overcome the difficult circumstances the country is going through.
He described the Benghazi stadium in its new form as a “vibrant national masterpiece” that embodies the meanings of unity and cohesion, and confirms that Libya is capable of giving and creating whenever its people unite as one.
Nassia concluded: “A thousand congratulations to our national team, and to all our dear people, asking God that the victories continue, and that the Libyan flag remains flying high.”
