Tripoli – November 29 marks the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1977, expressing the international community’s support for the Palestinian struggle against the Zionist occupation and for the establishment of their independent state with Holy Jerusalem as its capital.
The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Libya, Mohammed Rahal, expressed the appreciation of the Palestinian people and their leadership for the state of Libya, its leadership and people, for their continuous support for Palestine, stressing: “May God protect Libya and its people, and together until the establishment of the state with Holy Jerusalem as its capital.”
This day is commemorated annually with an exhibition that highlights Palestinian rights and showcases the history of their struggle and fight for freedom and independence.
