A news report confirmed the future of Senegalese Alou Cissé remains unclear. Cissé is the national football team coach. This is despite the payment of his overdue salaries. The report was initially published by the English-speaking Ukrainian sports news site ‘Daily Sports’.
The report stated the Libyan Football Federation offered no guarantees. These guarantees would secure Cissé’s position until his contract expires in 2027. The federation’s capability to meet its long-term commitments was questioned. According to the report, paying most of Cissé’s financial dues does not guarantee his stability. He remains at the helm of the national team’s technical staff.
However, this payment is still considered a significant step forward. The report added that statements from LFF President Abdul Mawla Al-Maghrebi raised doubts. These doubts concern the Senegalese coach’s future with the national team.
