An economic report confirmed a key development. It was published by the Turkish news network “TRT”. The report stated that the Turkish prefabricated building company “Dorce” is ready. It plans to enter Libya’s growing energy sector.
The report highlighted new economic proposals. It noted that Libya is launching oil licensing rounds. This offers a fresh opportunity for Dorce. The company can provide prefabricated buildings in remote desert energy fields. This leverages their field expertise for new projects.
Serhat Polatdemir is Dorce’s Foreign Tenders Manager. The report quoted him. He stated that renewed activity in Libya’s energy sector is attracting attention. Turkish companies with an established presence are especially noticed. “We have completed projects in Al-Kufra before,” he said. “We are fully ready to share our expertise.” Polatdemir also added, “We will apply our knowledge of mobile housing to new projects.” This housing is fast to assemble and adapted for desert conditions. He believes time, logistics, and mobilization are crucial factors in the energy sector.
Polatdemir further explained the company’s desert complexes. They are more than just living quarters. They also contain the technical infrastructure needed for continuous operations. He clarified a major challenge in Libyan energy basins. It is ensuring operations continue despite harsh desert conditions.
Polatdemir listed key design considerations. These included temperature shifts between day and night. Sandstorms and strong wind loads were also factors. Specialized insulation materials were employed. Reinforced steel systems were used to ensure durability. This also reduces maintenance needs.
Polatdemir explained that remote energy field camps must operate independently. They are far from urban utility networks. The company offers comprehensive solutions. These cover water supply, waste management, and energy provision. The report mentioned the Al-Kufra complex. It was designed as a self-sufficient modular settlement.
The report clarified the settlement’s features. It includes more than just residential units. It also houses technical systems for pipeline operations. Single-story prefabricated units were installed. They use a concrete block system for desert terrain. This allows structures to handle uneven ground. They can also be disassembled and relocated if needed.
The project integrates clean water storage tanks. It also features on-site distribution systems. Wastewater treatment units are included. Collection tanks are housed in containers. Dedicated generator rooms and power distribution panels ensure continuous energy supply.
