Benghazi – The Faculty of Public Health at the University of Benghazi has announced the launch of its first scientific conference today morning, Thursday, under the slogan “Celebrating Institutional Accreditation.” The conference celebrates the faculty’s receipt of institutional accreditation, making it the first of its kind to achieve this milestone at the university level, in cooperation with the Health Committee of the House of Representatives.
Najia Al-Barghathi, Director of the Media Office at the Medical Colleges Complex and a member of the conference’s media committee, told a LANA correspondent that logistical and technical preparations for the event have reached their final stages. The conference president and a number of heads and members of the scientific, organizing, and media committees are participating in preparations for the launch of the activities at the faculty’s headquarters.
She added that the conference serves as a scientific platform bringing together researchers and experts from various universities and health institutions to discuss the most prominent issues and challenges in the field of public health, and to review scientific experiences and practices that contribute to developing and improving the quality of health services in Libya.
She emphasized that the conference is part of the faculty’s efforts to promote scientific research, exchange academic expertise in the fields of public health, epidemiology, and health administration, and highlight the role of education and research in supporting national health policies.
She noted that the media committee and other committees are working diligently to present the conference in a manner befitting the stature of the University of Benghazi and the achievement of the Faculty of Public Health in obtaining its institutional accreditation.
