Lima – The Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Misbah Douma, participated in the 11th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Forum of Young Parliamentarians, held in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
The forum discussed several themes related to the role of youth in legislation, their involvement in the political process and decision-making, in addition to women’s empowerment and building more inclusive and sustainable societies.
According to the House’s spokesperson, Abdullah Bliheg, participants also addressed the global challenges facing younger generations and ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation to confront them.
