Arabian Gulf Oil Company and Murzuq Cooperate to Complete Field Development Projects

Benghazi – The Arabian Gulf Oil Company is continuing its practical steps in implementing strategic projects to develop oil and gas fields, in cooperation with Murzuq Oil Services Limited, according to the company’s head of the media department.

The head of the department, Ahmed Al-Oraibi, stated to the Libyan News Agency that a meeting was held yesterday, Thursday, at the Murzuq Company headquarters in Tunis. It was attended by a delegation from the Arabian Gulf Oil Company, including Engineer Mustafa Al-Dinalli, Management Committee Member for Engineering, Construction, Technical Affairs, and Development of Discovered Fields, and Mohammed Al-Maqsabi, Director of the Engineering and Construction Department. The meeting was dedicated to following up on the implementation of the agreement signed between the two parties.

He explained that the meeting addressed the completion of engineering studies for gas compressor projects in the Sarir, Messla, Messla Flare, and Majid fields. It also covered the development of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system in the Sarir field complexes and the upgrading of production equipment in areas K, L, O, and Y of the Nafoora field, as part of a comprehensive plan to increase operational efficiency and improve field readiness.

Al-Oraibi added that the meeting concluded with an agreement to resume work in the near future, prioritizing the gas compressor projects as a fundamental pillar of the fields’ technical development program.

He affirmed that the Arabian Gulf Oil Company is proceeding with its commitments to accelerate the implementation of technical and technological projects and to strengthen partnerships with national companies to benefit from their specialized expertise in a way that serves the oil and gas sector in Libya.
