Sirte – The Faculty of Human Medicine at the University of Sirte organized an official celebration on Wednesday to mark its receipt of the programmatic accreditation decision and its international recognition certificate, following a visit by the Quality Assurance team late last year which confirmed the continued accreditation of the faculty’s program.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the University of Sirte, Suleiman Al-Shater, who was honored during the event in recognition of his continuous supportive role in the faculty’s journey and development. He also presented a copy of the programmatic accreditation decision, in addition to a copy of the international recognition certificate granted to the Quality Assurance Center, which in turn awarded the Faculty of Medicine international recognition for its commitment to academic quality standards.
The university president delivered a speech expressing his happiness with this achievement, stressing that this event is a source of pride not only for the Faculty of Medicine but for the entire university. He explained that the continued accreditation reflects the collective efforts of the faculty’s academic and administrative staff, calling for this level to be maintained and enhanced in the future.
He noted that this accreditation places new responsibilities on the faculty to develop its academic and research performance in a manner befitting its status as a prestigious educational institution in Libya. He also expressed his gratitude to the Faculty Council and the Quality team for their professional work that resulted in this success.
For their part, faculty members and attendees expressed their pride in this event, which reflects the development of medical education in Sirte and enhances the faculty’s standing locally and internationally.
It is noteworthy that the Faculty of Medicine in Sirte continuously strives to achieve the highest standards of quality in medical education, in line with international standards, qualifying its graduates to compete regionally and globally.
