Benghazi – The General Syndicate of Sports Media Professionals awarded the fourth edition of the Sports Excellence Award for the best sports club in Libya for the year 2025 to Al-Watan Club for Shooting and Equestrianism, chaired by General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Deputy General Commander of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, this Saturday evening.
The ceremony was attended by a large and widespread audience of figures, ministries, institutions, and bodies of the Libyan government, various media outlets, and a number of journalists and media professionals.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the shield of the General Commander of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Belqasim Haftar, was presented and received by Mr. Abdel Fattah Abdel Karim Hadiya from the Office of African Affairs at the General Command.
During the celebration, a number of the major activities and events organized by Al-Watan Club during the year 2025, whose board of directors is chaired by General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Deputy General Commander of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, were showcased.
Engineer Nasr Al-Mahdawi, assigned to manage the General Syndicate of Sports Media Professionals, also honored the administrative and media team of Al-Watan Club for Shooting and Equestrianism.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Sports Excellence Shield for the year 2025 was presented, and the Sports Excellence Medal and Sash were awarded, which were received by the General Manager of Al-Watan Club, Engineer Ali Al-Anizi.
