Sirte – Ali Al-Jaroushi, Director General of Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital in Sirte and Head of the Orthopedics Department, confirmed that the medical staff of the Orthopedics Department, with the support of anesthesiologists and radiology technicians, successfully performed 19 joint replacement surgeries for a number of patients in the main operating rooms. The procedures were carried out over two days of continuous work, with all operations being a complete success.
Al-Jaroushi explained to the Libyan News Agency that these operations represent “planting new hope” for patients who have been exhausted by their health suffering. He pointed out that the continuation of joint surgeries at this level was made possible by the support of the Apparatus for Supporting and Developing Therapeutic Services and the Alpha Medical Equipment Company, which provided the necessary resources and allowed the operations to be performed with high efficiency.
He noted that the medical teams spent more than fifteen hours inside the Orthopedics Department’s operating rooms, performing a series of delicate surgical interventions that combined medical and humanitarian expertise. These efforts aimed to restore patients’ mobility and alleviate the chronic pain they had endured for long periods. He affirmed that the success of these operations marks the end of a painful phase for the patients and a new beginning with hope for recovery.
Al-Jaroushi extended his thanks and appreciation to all medical and paramedical staff in the Anesthesia, Surgery, Operations, Radiology, and Sterilization departments for their sincere efforts, which played the most significant role in the success of these operations and in providing advanced therapeutic services that meet the health needs of the hospital’s patients.
