Workers at Libyan oil and gas sector expressed their dissatisfaction and complete rejection of statements of US ambassador Richard Norland and UN advisor Stephanie Williams and “their blatant interference in the management of the oil sector in Libya,” pointing out that this is considered a violation of the state’s sovereignty and independence.

Libyan Presidential Candidate, Suleiman al-Bayoudi, said UN Special Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, was capable of successfully setting and facilitating a meeting between representatives of the parliament and High Council of State (HCS) in Cairo based on paragraph 5 of the Twelfth Amendment, but reaching an agreement on the proposed Constitution controversial issues within 60 days’ notice failed.

UN Special Adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams, said she had an online meeting with members of the Tadamon Coalition, a newly-formed network of 25 Libyan civil society organizations and women leaders representing ethnic and regional constituencies in Libya and mainly working on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
